Sudan: Omar al-Bashir reportedly driven from power after 3 decades

In Sudan, there are reports that President Omar al-Bashir has been forced to step down by the military, after three decades of autocratic rule.

Minister of production and economic resources Darfur, Adel Mahjoub Hussein, told a news channel that President Bashir has stepped down and moves are underway to form a transitional council to run the country.

An official military statement in this regard, is still awaited.
