Karachi: The Star Marketing Pvt. Ltd. Chairman Wasiq Naeem organised a dinner in honour of the Patron-in-Chief of ABAD Mohsin Sheikhani. During the Dinner, they paid tribute to the services of Mohsin Sheikhani and the Ex-Chairman’s insisted on taking over the responsibilities while rejecting the decision of Mohsin Sheikhani’s resignation.
The dinner was attended by the Elite of the city, Builders, Several Ex-Chairman’s ABAD, and the Business Community including; Chairman ABAD Muhammad Hanif Memon, Mahmood Ahmed Khan Director Star Marketing, Ghias Anwer Sr. R.D. At the beginning of the ceremony, Star Marketing Chairman Wasiq Naeem said that Mohsin Sheikhani is a leader who always fights for his team. Ever since he took charge of ABAD, he takes into a golden era. Even if the members of ABAD want to, they cannot forget the services of Mohsin Sheikhani.
Speaking on this occasion, Mohsin Sheikhani said that the role of industries is the most important in stabilizing the economy of any country, but in these difficult situations, it has been seen that when governments make policies, they have no idea. What is the importance of which industries, stakeholders, what is the economy, and how to keep it stable? It seems as if the economy for governments is just for IMF that gives them money.
In 1970, Pakistan was the strongest country in the entire region, we gave loans to Germany, Korea used to consult us on the economy, and it was a completely different Pakistan whose economy was extremely stable. He said that the results of the decisions implemented in any country are visible in 20 to 25 years. Some decisions change the country. These are my concerns today.
From the decisions that are being taken in the current situation, I think that we are once again in the time of the 70s. Not going to repeat? I believe that if I cannot raise my voice for my people, if I cannot do anything for them, then I have no right to hold the post. The main purpose of my resignation was to convey this message to our people that we should not just stick to our positions, but take every extreme step to serve our people.
Mahmood Ahmed Khan said that Mohsin Sheikhani’s services are unforgettable. He played the role of a pillar in the industry who always managed this industry no matter how hard the sun came; Mohsin Shekhani was at the forefront of solving the problems of builders.
Cricketer Shahid Afridi said I do not know Mohsin Sheikhani very much, but I know for sure that he is a very good person. A good person should never back down. Shahid Afridi requested assistance from the business community for the disaster areas of Balochistan, on which Star Marketing Chairman Wasiq Naeem announced a donation of Rs 5 Lakh and Mohsin Sheikhani donated Rs 10 Lakh.
Senator Nihal Hashmi speaking about Mohsin Sheikhani said I know Mohsin Sheikhani very well, this person not only felt the sufferings of his community but also felt the sufferings of this city and people of this city. To make his pain felt, he took a very difficult decision to resign as ABAD Chairman.
