Galaxy S26 Ultra Defect owners have reported a possible display issue after several months of use, with some devices developing a reddish tint on the screen. Samsung is investigating the reports, according to Korean media and user discussions on online forums.

Reports shared on Reddit and Samsung’s Community Forum describe a reddish discoloration appearing near the center of the display. Some users say the issue shows up as a rectangular red mark after two to three months of regular use.

Samsung has not confirmed the cause of the issue. However, Korean news outlet Newsway reported that the company has started investigating the complaints.

Several users believe the discoloration becomes more noticeable when the Privacy Display feature is enabled. The Galaxy S26 Ultra uses the feature to limit screen visibility from side angles and protect sensitive notifications by controlling individual display pixels.

Some users suspect environmental conditions may contribute to the problem, while others believe it could stem from a manufacturing defect or a software-related issue. Samsung has not verified any of these theories.

Customers experiencing the display problem can request repairs under Samsung’s one-year limited warranty, provided the issue qualifies for warranty coverage. Since the Galaxy S26 Ultra launched on March 11, affected devices remain within the standard warranty period.

Despite the reported issue, the Galaxy S26 Ultra has received positive reviews for its overall performance. The flagship smartphone also earned recognition for delivering one of the fastest wired charging speeds among premium smartphones tested in 2025 and 2026.

Samsung is expected to provide additional information after completing its investigation into the reported display discoloration.
