The Government of Japan has extended a grant to Behbud Association Karachi for the provision of medical equipment. The Project has been approved under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) scheme.
The grant contract was signed on March 14, 2023 between the Consul-General of Japan in Karachi, Mr. ODAGIRI Toshio and the Chairperson TB Project of Behbud Association Karachi, Dr. Farhat Ajmal.
The grant has been provided by the government and people of Japan for the procurement of an X-Ray machine for the detection of tuberculosis (TB) at a clinic for vulnerable patients. Behbud Association has been operating healthcare services as well as educational and vocational training centers, etc., for more than 50 years.
