National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) reinforced its commitment to Sustainability by organising a tree plantation drive at Clifton Urban Forest in Karachi as part of its broader environmental and climate resilience efforts.
The initiative reflects NBP’s ongoing strategy to support a greener and healthier Pakistan while aligning environmental responsibility with long-term development goals and sustainable business practices.
Speaking at the event, Faisal Ahmed Topra said the plantation activity formed part of the bank’s long-term vision to create a positive impact for communities and future generations. He added that NBP aims to promote environmental awareness and encourage employees to participate in community-based initiatives.

Masood Lohar said the plantation campaign was carried out in collaboration with NBP and highlighted the importance of maintaining newly planted saplings to ensure healthy growth over the next three to five years.
He also stressed that tree plantation alone would not be enough for a rapidly expanding city such as Karachi and called for broader urban forestry planning and nationwide participation from organisations.
As one of Pakistan’s leading financial institutions, National Bank of Pakistan said its future initiatives would continue integrating sustainability into operations while supporting environmental protection and community well-being.
