The Sindh government has officially declared February 5 a public holiday across the province in observance of Kashmir Day. A notification was issued on Friday by the Services, General Administration, and Coordination Department (SGA&CD), confirming the closure of all Sindh government and semi-government offices on Wednesday, February 5 to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
It is worth noting that Pakistan commemorates Kashmir Day every year on February 5 to support the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir in their struggle for self-determination. The day is marked by demonstrations and events nationwide, shedding light on human rights violations in the region. While Sindh has issued its notification, the federal government has yet to make an official announcement for this year’s public holiday.
