ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabian Information Minister Dr Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad on Saturday said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoyed strong fraternal relationship and now would work to enhance ties in the field of media as well.
“Pakistan is like a second home to him and both the countries had strengthened their relationship during the last six decades,” he said while speaking at a function hosted by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain in Islamabad.
Dr Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad said people of Saudi Arabia wanted to know more about the Pakistani culture, films and cinema and arrangements were being made to show Pakistani dramas in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Arabian minister said the two countries had established strong relationship at government to government level and now they should build people to people contacts.
He said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia had a unique and special relationship that was getting stronger with the passage of time.
The Saudi Arabian information minister arrived in Islamabad on Friday as a part of his official visit.
His delegation comprises Ambassador Mohammed bin Nawwaf ul Maliki and the Adviser to the information minister.
