Jamshoro : Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro (SABS) University of Art, Design and Heritages Jamshoro organized a poster making display of Communication Design Department students.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Vice-chancellor SABS University Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto. The display contained the posters of 54 students on the themes of social issues, history of printing and Sindhi culture. Addressing the inauguration ceremony Vice-chancellor SABS Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto said that the students have displayed wonderful and innovative ideas based on various genuine issues of the society. Besides highlighting issues of the society students should portray their solution as it may bring innovation in their creativity, she said. Vice-chancellor said that SABS University students have to play a critical role for betterment of the society and we are trying to connect science, art and technology as it may prove more effective for the image of the society. In addition, she advised coordinators to display QR codes on work of students and make students to learn about developing their online portfolio. She also advised to safe the entire work of students in a catalog form for future displays in library.
The topics covered by students in their posters included: television advertising, social media advantages/ disadvantages, process of paper, newspaper, printing ink, pre press, post press, radio, printers, positive body image, stop bullying, help poor without showoff, no pain no gain, colors of Pakistan, abusive language, unemployment, global warming, save water save life, addiction of mobile phone, forced marriages, beauty standards, artificial intelligence, racism, stop early marriages, child labor, tourism in Pakistan, ralli work, bhart, hurmich, ajrak, kashikari and others.
The coordinators of exhibition were the faculty members of Communication Design Department, Mumtaz Mangi and Muhammad Zaman Bhutto and Kashif Shahzad as curator.
