Karachi: A delegation of the Pakistan SADC Chamber of Trade Federation met with Ibrahim Tawab to discuss preparations for the upcoming Pakistan-Africa Trade and Investment Conference 2026, scheduled to be held in Karachi.

The delegation was led by Syed Moizuddin, Senior Vice President Pakistan, along with Noor Afsha Baloch, President Balochistan and Women Wing Pakistan, and Muhammad Shafique, Senior Vice President Sindh.
During the meeting, both sides focused on expanding trade and investment cooperation between Pakistan and African nations, with special emphasis on Ethiopia’s role as a key economic gateway to East Africa. Key sectors discussed included agriculture, textiles, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, and technology.
Ibrahim Tawab welcomed the initiative and expressed strong support for the upcoming conference, highlighting its potential to strengthen business-to-business engagement and deepen economic ties between Pakistan and Africa.
The delegation said the 2026 conference will serve as a major platform to connect Pakistani businesses with African markets, bringing together policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs to explore new opportunities and enhance economic diplomacy.
Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination to ensure the success of the conference and to promote long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships between the regions.
The Pakistan SADC Chamber reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening trade linkages with Southern African Development Community member states and supporting sustainable economic cooperation.
