Karachi: The Pakistan SADC Chamber of Trade Federation (PSCTF) and the Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) have agreed to collaborate on the upcoming Pak-Africa Trade and Investment Conference 2026, scheduled to be held in Karachi, aiming to deepen economic engagement between Pakistan and African nations.

The development came during a high-level meeting between delegations of both organizations, where discussions focused on expanding cooperation in trade, infrastructure development, real estate, energy, and investment opportunities across emerging African markets.
The PSCTF delegation was led by Senior Vice President (Pakistan Chapter) Syed Moizuddin and President Balochistan and Women Wing Noor Afsha Baloch, along with Muhammad Shafiq, Sheikh Aqeel, Sadiq Kareem, and other members. The ABAD side was represented by Chairman Hassan Bakshi, Vice Chairman Tariq Aziz, Chairman SR Ovais Thanvi, and former Vice Chairman A.K. Adia, among others.
Both sides emphasized the importance of building sustainable economic partnerships between Pakistan and African countries through structured platforms that facilitate business-to-business (B2B) engagement, joint ventures, and knowledge exchange.
PSCTF representatives highlighted Africa’s rapidly growing markets and stressed the need for Pakistani exporters, investors, and developers to actively explore opportunities in the region. ABAD leadership reaffirmed its commitment to mobilizing Pakistan’s construction and real estate sector to participate in the conference and strengthen cross-border collaboration.

- Promotion of participation from key industry stakeholders
- Encouragement of investment-friendly policies and partnerships
- Showcasing Pakistan’s expertise in construction and infrastructure development
The Pak-Africa Trade and Investment Conference 2026 is expected to serve as a major platform for enhancing bilateral trade, strengthening diplomatic and economic relations, and unlocking new avenues for mutual growth between Pakistan and African economies.
Both organizations also agreed to establish a joint working group to oversee planning, coordination, and execution of the event.
PSCTF reiterated its mission to promote trade and investment between Pakistan and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region, while ABAD emphasized its role in advancing Pakistan’s housing and infrastructure development sector.
