ISLAMABAD, July 4, 2025: Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) to launch collaborative efforts for youth empowerment across Pakistan. The MoU was signed by MD/CEO OGDCL Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak, Chairman PMYP Mr. Rana Mashhood Ahmed and Chairperson NAVTTC Ms. Gulmina Bilal Ahmad.
As part of OGDCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, the collaboration sets the foundation for joint initiatives in vocational and technical training, employment generation, sports, environmental sustainability, and civic engagement for youth.
Chairman PMYP, Mr. Rana Mashhood Ahmed, highlighted the program’s recent milestones in education, employment, sports, and green initiatives, terming the MoU a forward-looking step toward wider youth inclusion. He expressed gratitude to OGDCL and NAVTTC for their commitment to national progress and youth development.
Speaking at the ceremony, MD/CEO OGDCL Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak reaffirmed the company’s commitment to CSR, emphasizing youth empowerment and vocational training as strategic priorities. He stressed the alignment of OGDCL’s initiatives with national objectives, saying that such collaborations will create a lasting, scalable impact for both the youth and the country.
Chairperson NAVTTC, Ms. Gulmina Bilal Ahmad, thanked OGDCL for giving wings to NAVTTC’s training initiatives and recognized the partnership’s role in strengthening mid-level skills and capacity building, especially in OGDCL’s operational regions. She reiterated NAVTTC’s commitment to implementing workforce-driven programs that uplift communities.
This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity—particularly for underserved and remote populations—while contributing to a skilled, inclusive, and future-ready Pakistan.
