KARACHI – K-Electric (KE) has announced that North Nazimabad Block B is now officially exempt from load-shedding, bringing relief to over 1,600 residents who previously faced up to 10 hours of power outages daily.
In an official statement, the power utility termed this development a part of its broader efforts to enhance power reliability across Karachi. “This marks a major step in our mission to provide consistent electricity to all areas,” KE said.
North Nazimabad Block B is the latest locality to be removed from the load-shedding schedule, following earlier upgrades in areas such as Nusrat Bhutto Mor, Manghopir Road, and several sectors of North Karachi, including 5-C3, 5-C4, and 11-A, after a review conducted in May.
KE attributed the improvement to the implementation of technical solutions aimed at reducing high Aggregated Technical and Commercial (AT&C) losses in the area.
This move reflects KE’s ongoing strategy to reward neighborhoods showing improved recovery and technical performance with uninterrupted power supply.
