ISLAMABAD: In a deeply disturbing case from Fort Abbas, police have arrested a man accused of facilitating an attempted sexual assault on his own wife by three of his drug-addicted friends.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the victim — a resident of the Thokar Jamil Shah area — stated that her husband often invited fellow addicts to their home for drug-fueled gatherings. On June 27, he allegedly brought three men to their residence and allowed them to sexually assault her.
The situation escalated when the men attempted to rape the woman. Her screams alerted neighbors, who intervened just in time, preventing the assault from going further. Police soon arrived at the scene and arrested the husband along with one of the alleged attackers, while a search operation is ongoing to apprehend the other two suspects.
Local authorities confirmed that a full investigation is underway and pledged to pursue justice to the fullest extent of the law.
This incident comes on the heels of a similar case reported earlier this year in Vehari, where a man allegedly allowed another individual to rape his wife after losing a gambling bet. Shockingly, the perpetrator filmed the act and used the footage to blackmail the victim.
These repeated incidents have sparked growing public outrage and raised serious concerns over the safety of women in their own homes, highlighting the urgent need for stronger legal protections and social awareness to prevent such crimes.
