The delegation engaged with Pakistani industrialists, exporters, traders, and investors in a series of meetings and Business-to-Business (B2B) discussions aimed at promoting industrial collaboration, joint ventures, and technology transfer between the two countries.
According to Atif Ikram Sheikh, the delegation’s visit was officially facilitated by Khalil Hashmi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, and represents one of the largest and most significant Chinese industrial and investment delegations ever to visit Pakistan.
He further revealed that Pakistan is preparing to organize a large-scale export promotion exhibition in China featuring more than 18 sectors representing key industries and export potential of the Pakistani economy.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Khalil Hashmi emphasized the importance of transforming the longstanding diplomatic and strategic friendship between Pakistan and China into a stronger and more sustainable economic partnership.
“Our primary objective is to translate our historic bilateral friendship into deep-rooted economic cooperation and industrial collaboration,” he said.
The ambassador added that the delegation’s presence at FPCCI headquarters reflected growing Chinese interest in long-term partnerships, industrial relocation, and investment opportunities in Pakistan.
Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, Senior Vice President FPCCI, said both Pakistani and Chinese business leaders reached a strong consensus on expanding bilateral trade through direct investment, technology sharing, manufacturing partnerships, and industrial relocation.
He noted that the Chinese delegation represented a broad range of strategic sectors including mining and minerals, chemicals, textiles, manufacturing, renewable energy, information technology, automobiles, agriculture, and food processing.
Abdul Mohamin Khan, Vice President and Regional Chairman Sindh FPCCI, said the engagement carried transformative potential for Pakistan’s economy, industrial growth, and employment generation.
He stressed that Pakistan must focus more on value-added exports and strict quality standards to strengthen exports to China and fully benefit from bilateral trade opportunities.
According to him, Chinese investment in manufacturing and industrial sectors could significantly accelerate Pakistan’s economic development and improve broad-based economic cooperation between the two countries.
Nasir Khan also urged Pakistani businesses to benefit from China’s industrial expertise, modern technology, and global manufacturing experience.
He encouraged local companies to actively explore new trade routes, investment channels, and partnership opportunities with Chinese firms, calling stronger private-sector cooperation a potential “game-changer” for Pakistan’s economy.
Meanwhile, Shabbir Mansha, Chairman of the Pakistan-China Business Council of FPCCI, highlighted the urgent need for consistent trade promotion activities and regular B2B engagements between the two countries.
He stated that sustained interaction between Pakistani and Chinese businesses was essential to reducing the trade gap, promoting mutual growth, and converting diplomatic goodwill into tangible economic prosperity.
