L’Oréal Pakistan has announced a major step toward local manufacturing growth. The company successfully localized Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), a key ingredient used in shampoo production.
As part of this initiative, Tufail Chemical Industries Ltd. joined L’Oréal Pakistan as an approved local supplier. Therefore, the partnership will help reduce dependence on imported raw materials.
Moreover, the move reflects L’Oréal Pakistan’s long-term investment strategy in Pakistan. The company said the project also supports the country’s industrial development goals.
Rehan Saeed, Executive General Manager at L’Oréal Pakistan, praised the achievement. He said the success highlights the strong technical capabilities of Pakistani manufacturers.
Furthermore, he explained that localization would improve supply chain strength and operational efficiency. It would also support future business growth in the region.
According to the company, the partnership matches L’Oréal’s sustainability goals. As a result, shorter supply routes will help reduce logistics-related carbon emissions.
In addition, the company expects faster delivery times and better response to market demand.
Tufail Chemical Industries completed L’Oréal’s strict global qualification process before approval. Consequently, the success proved that Pakistani suppliers can meet international beauty industry standards.
L’Oréal Pakistan described the project as a model for future localization opportunities. Meanwhile, the company reaffirmed its commitment to supporting local manufacturing and sustainable growth.
