The United States has expressed regret over the death of senior journalist Arshad Sharif and demanded a full investigation from Kenya.
Spokesperson of the US State Department, Ned Price, said that the world was aware of the work of journalist Arshad Sharif, the complete information of Arshad Sharif’s death has not yet come to light.
The spokesperson of the US State Department further said that action has been taken against the governments suppressing the right to freedom of expression.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called Kenyan President William Ruto and discussed the incident of Arshad Sharif’s murder. The Kenyan president has promised to submit an investigation report on the incident soon.
The Prime Minister discussed the incident of Arshad Sharif’s death with the President of Kenya, Shehbaz Sharif emphasized on impartial and transparent investigation of the incident.
It should be noted that senior journalist and anchor Arshad Sharif was killed in Kenya.
Confirming the death of Arshad Sharif, his wife Jawaria Siddique said that according to the police, Arshad Sharif was shot in Kenya.
