Hilary Duff Recreates Lizzie McGuire Movie Scene at Rome’s Trevi Fountain

Hilary Duff has revived memories of The Lizzie McGuire Movie by recreating one of its most recognisable scenes at Rome’s Trevi Fountain.

The actress shared a video on Instagram showing herself at the famous landmark. The location featured prominently in the 2003 Disney film.

Duff added to the nostalgia with the caption, “Any guesses what I wished for … ??”

The post quickly attracted fans of the franchise. Many viewers expressed hope that Duff could return as Lizzie in a new film or series.

A Return to Lizzie’s Rome Adventure

The Lizzie McGuire Movie arrived in cinemas in 2003.

The story follows Lizzie as she travels to Rome during a school trip. There, she meets Italian pop star Paolo and discovers that she resembles his singing partner, Isabella.

Duff played both Lizzie and Isabella in the film.

Interest in the franchise grew again in 2019.

Disney+ announced plans for a Lizzie McGuire revival that year. Duff planned to reprise her role as an adult Lizzie.

However, Disney cancelled the project in 2020.

Duff has not announced a new sequel or revival.

Her Trevi Fountain video has nevertheless renewed interest in the character and the possibility of a comeback.
