Gold prices in Pakistan extended their downward trend on Thursday, mirroring a dip in the international market. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported a decrease of Rs460 per tola, pushing the local gold rate to Rs358,595. Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs394, now priced at Rs307,437.
This decline follows Wednesday’s significant reduction of Rs2,245 per tola, which brought the rate to Rs359,055. On the global front, gold was trading at $3,372 per ounce, including a $20 premium—reflecting a $6 drop from the previous rate.
Meanwhile, silver prices also experienced a minor drop, with the rate per tola falling by Rs58 to reach Rs3,820.
