MD and CEO foodpanda Pakistan resigned, riders on strike due to commission’s issue, and global chain stopped/reduced their funding. A golden opportunity for the competitors to step in and take their shot.
Nauman Sikandar Mirza made the announcement on LinkedIn, saying, “I have decided to move on from my current role as CEO and MD for foodpanda Pakistan. I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and I believe it’s the right time for me to make this decision and pursue other passions.”
“Since embarking on a journey to form Pakistan’s first restaurant review platform back in 2011, it’s been a roller coaster ride to build food connection Pakistan, then EatOye! And then building foodpanda in Pakistan. It’s been a journey fueled with Passion and a mission to accomplish something great for myself, our teams, restaurants, riders, and all stakeholders and of course for my country, Pakistan. Allah has been very kind to bless me with this opportunity and the journey I went through.” He Added.
Further He wrote, “My last day at foodpanda Pakistan will be 28th February, 2022. However, I will always be cheering from the sidelines as foodpanda will continue to hold a special place in my heart and I will always remain an avid user. We have a very strong leadership team in place who will keep the engine running – an announcement for a new leader will come in due course. I would like to highlight all key people who were instrumental in my journey, without whom I would not have gotten this far: Founding Team at Food connection PK and EatOye!”
