Finland lauds Pakistan’s 10bn Tree Tsunami Project

ISLAMABAD

ISLAMABAD – Finland has lauded the Ten Billion Tree Tsunami Project and showed keen interest in assisting the government to achieve this esteemed environmental protection initiative.

Honorary consulate of Honorary counsel Finland Asad Ansari showed this interest during a call on meeting with Advisor to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam in Islamabad today (Friday).

Malik Amin Aslam apprised Asad Ansari that under the anti-encroachment drive, the incumbent government has recovered 25000 acres of land and the Prime Minister wishes to utilise the confiscated land for tree plantation.

Meanwhile, the meeting between Advisor Malik Amin Aslam and Finland Ambassador and under Secretary is scheduled next month to further elaborate and enhance the cooperation and confirmation of MoUs between the two countries.
