The newly elected Republican County Committee members of Clifton City convened their first post-election meeting tonight, where Bob Calcagno was unanimously re-elected as Chairman. The meeting was attended by all elected committee members and featured remarks from Dr. Gholam Mujtaba, Tafari Anderson, and Board of Education Commissioner Mark Brunciak.
In his address, Dr. Gholam Mujtaba congratulated Chairman Calcagno on his re-election and extended warm regards to Peter Murphy on his election as County Chair. Reflecting on the hard-fought general election, Dr. Mujtaba highlighted the historic campaign of his son, Dr. Assad Mujtaba, for County Commissioner as a pivotal moment for the GOP’s local resurgence.
He commended the committee for its unity and emphasized the Party’s strength in its unwavering commitment to conservative values, moral clarity, and inclusive outreach—principles championed by President Donald J. Trump. He urged the leadership to remain steadfast in expanding the Republican message to all communities while upholding the ideals of faith, family, freedom, and the rule of law.
