Karachi: Credible information was received by Director Customs Intelligence, Karachi regarding
presence of huge quantity of smuggled and not fit for human consumption betelnut in a godown
located at Site Area, Karachi.
The target premises was located and raided by staff of Customs Intelligence Karachi under the
supervision of Additional Director and Deputy Director Anti Smuggling Organization and 88,000 Kgs
of smuggled/not fit for human consumption betelnut valuing Rs 11 crore was recovered.
The Director General Customs Intelligence Faiz Ahmad Chadhar appreciated the successful operation
of Customs Intelligence Karachi and urged the Director and his team to make more efforts to uproot
smuggling in the region.
