Haamid Ismail Shares Olympic Vision for Lyari Boxers
Speaking at the championship, Haamid Ismail, Founder of the Haamid Ismail Foundation, said Lyari had immense boxing talent.
However, he noted that limited financial resources, inadequate training facilities and a lack of opportunities prevent many promising athletes from reaching their potential.
“Our dream is to see talented boxers from Lyari competing at national and international levels and ultimately representing Pakistan at the Olympic Games,” Ismail said.
He added that the foundation aims to provide young athletes with opportunities, encouragement and support. These efforts will help them improve their skills and pursue professional boxing careers.
Foundation Supports Community Development
The Haamid Ismail Foundation works across several areas of community development. Its initiatives include education, access to clean drinking water, community welfare and sports development.
The foundation places particular emphasis on supporting underprivileged communities.
Ismail reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to identifying and nurturing emerging boxing talent in Lyari. He said it would continue helping young athletes pursue their sporting ambitions.
The Crown of Lyari Boxing Championship formed part of these efforts to encourage young people and create opportunities for the next generation of boxers.
