LAHORE, May 7, 2026: COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, organized an insightful seminar titled “Entrepreneurship, Advertising and Leadership” under its Department of Media and Communication Studies, featuring Ahmed Kapadia as the keynote speaker.

The session brought together students and faculty members for an engaging discussion on advertising trends, leadership development, creativity, and the evolving media landscape in Pakistan.
During his address, Ahmed Kapadia shared experiences from his professional career and highlighted the importance of adaptability, innovation, and continuous learning in the advertising industry. He emphasized that successful campaigns require a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, audience engagement, and effective storytelling.
He also discussed creative strategies behind major campaigns for well-known brands including Suzuki, KFC, Roshan Digital Account, and Raast, explaining how strategic thinking and creativity combine to deliver impactful communication.
Kapadia further reflected on notable moments from his career, including the 1996 Cricket World Cup campaign featuring the iconic song “Hai Jazba Junoon Tou Himmat Na Haar,” which gained nationwide recognition.
The seminar began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by opening remarks from Dr. Sohail Riaz, Head of the Department of Media and Communication Studies, who underscored the importance of industry-academia collaboration and described the session as a valuable learning opportunity for students.
He also acknowledged Ahmed Kapadia as a mentor figure and an inspiration for young professionals entering the media and advertising field.
In an interactive session, students engaged with the speaker on topics related to creativity, leadership, career development, and emerging trends in the advertising industry. Kapadia encouraged students to focus on practical skills alongside academic learning to meet evolving industry demands.
The seminar concluded with remarks from Dr. Ayesha Mirza, who thanked the guest speaker and reaffirmed the department’s commitment to organizing similar industry-focused sessions in the future.
Following the seminar, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yar met with Ahmed Kapadia in the presence of Dr. Sohail Riaz to discuss potential collaboration between the Pakistan Advertising Association (PAA), Media Studies, and IRCBM. The meeting explored the possibility of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic and professional partnerships.
