Arif Saeed elected to the ISSA Executive Board for the 2026–2029 term.

Mr. Arif Saeed, President of the Pakistan Olympic Association and South Asian Olympic Council, has been elected to the Executive Board of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA).

Saeed will serve as the Regional Representative for Asia and Europe for the 2026–2029 term. His election strengthens Pakistan’s representation in international and regional sports governance.

Election Held in Saudi Arabia

The election took place during the 15th ISSA General Assembly in Taif, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ISSA General Assembly brings together representatives from 57 member National Olympic Committees.

Saeed brings extensive leadership and institutional experience from the corporate sector. He has also made a longstanding contribution to sports administration and initiatives that promote youth development and participation in sport.

Focus on Athlete Development and Cooperation

His new role on the ISSA Executive Board will provide a platform to support athlete development and welfare. It will also help strengthen cooperation among member National Olympic Committees.

Saeed’s election further enhances Pakistan’s role in regional and international sports administration. His tenure will contribute to ISSA’s efforts to promote the continued development of sport across its membership.
