Karachi, 09 August 2023 – Alibaba.com, a leading platform for global business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce, has concluded its participation in the GTEX Textile Machine and Chemical Brand Expo held from 3 to 5 August 2023 in Karachi, reaffirming its commitment to assisting Pakistan businesses on their journey towards digitalization and global expansion.

The expo served as a valuable networking platform for textile industry players, showcasing a wide range of raw materials, finished products, state-of-the-art technologies and machinery. As a participant, Alibaba.com had the opportunity to interact with hundreds of suppliers and manufacturers to highlight global trading opportunities available through B2B e-commerce.

Through personalized one-on-one consultations, Alibaba.com experts provided them with tips and advice on how to embark on online trade, connect with global buyers, secure orders and boost their export performance.

“Alibaba.com values opportunities to connect with Pakistani suppliers and manufacturers such as the GTEX Expo, where we were able to highlight to them the shift of global buyers towards online sourcing and offer our firsthand B2B e-commerce knowledge and insights. Global exports hold the key to further growth and success for Pakistan’s textile industry. We are eager to be a part of this transformative journey and we look forward to working with more businesses here to help unlock their potential in the global market,” said Mr. Rocky Lu, Head of Alibaba.com Pakistan.

Alibaba.com is dedicated to helping Pakistani businesses embrace digitalisation and explore untapped opportunities in the global market. By offering digital trading tools specially designed for small businesses, the platform aims to play a supportive role in the growth and success of the textile industry in Pakistan.
