WEB DESK- In Myanmar, five people were killed when security forces opened fire on the protesters who were protesting against the military junta in capital Yangon today.
Protesters were holding handmade shields and wearing helmets as they confronted security forces in the Hlaingthaya district.
More than eighty five people have been killed so far in widespread protests against the military coup imposed on first February.
Meanwhile the acting leader of parallel civilian government has vowed to pursue a “revolution” to overturn the junta.
Mahn Win Khaing, who is on the run along with most senior officials from the ruling National League for Democracy Party, was addressing the public for the first time via Facebook.
