Karachi ,February 22, 2026 : Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the press conference held by Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Mustafa Kamal clearly reflects their lack of understanding and ignorance of the constitution. It is unfortunate that these two leaders did not study the constitution and law seriously; otherwise, they would have refrained from making such irresponsible statements.
Reacting to the MQM leaders’ press conference, Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon stated that both Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Mustafa Kamal are federal ministers, and such statements by federal ministers raise questions about whether they reflect the policy of the federal government. He added that the federal government should clarify why its two federal ministers and coalition parties are consistently engaged in propaganda and conspiracies against the Sindh government.
He further said that the Governor House is a symbol of constitutional office and should not become a center for political confrontation or actions against the provincial government. The federal government must immediately explain and clarify the motives behind these incidents.
Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the country is already facing political and economic challenges, and in such circumstances, it is unwise to create tension between the federation and the provinces.
