Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Muhammad Suhail Afridi has directed provincial ministers to launch monthly e-open courts, enhancing citizen access to government and improving grievance resolution.

PESHAWAR: Muhammad Suhail Afridi has directed all provincial ministers and advisers to hold monthly e-open courts in their respective departments to hear public complaints directly.

The initiative, launched under the “Awam Ka Ehsaas” framework, is intended to give citizens direct digital access to senior officials, improve transparency and rebuild public confidence in government institutions.

The directive applies to 23 provincial departments and 69 attached autonomous or semi-autonomous bodies. Administrative secretaries and field officers have been instructed to begin the online sessions from March 1.

Officials said a special awareness session on standard operating procedures for the e-open courts will be held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat to ensure uniform implementation.

The chief minister described the programme as a key element of his governance strategy, aimed at strengthening communication between the government and the public while ensuring impartial handling of complaints.

Under the new system, departments will be required to resolve grievances within set timelines and will undergo quarterly performance reviews to monitor effectiveness and accountability.

The provincial government says the digital platform will enable swift action on public issues at both administrative and policy levels and help identify structural problems within departments.

Authorities expect the move to streamline the grievance redressal process and make the provincial administration more responsive to citizens’ immediate concerns across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. thanks pt
