With great admiration and belief in the columns of your newspaper, I seek to
bring to your kind notice that Pakistan 's population largest ratio comprised of
youth. In recent years due to increase in inflation, lack of investment in the
industrial sector the unemployment rate has increased tremendously affecting all
age groups. Moreover, the economy of the country has also slowed down keeping
in mind recent events like covid 19. A lot of companies faced shake downs and
some even went out of business eventually leading to more unemployment. In
recent times despite of multiple avenues of employment worldwide the youth of
Pakistan is facing increased trouble in finding employment.
One of the major problem includes a gap between quality education in relation to
contemporary requirements of the job market. Secondly the ones who have
educational qualifications from high end universities are expecting higher position
as a return on investment on their higher education and because of this they can't
gain experience and can't get a job thus resulting in unemployment.
It is the role of government to look forward into this problem of youth
unemployment and provide possible solutions by creating such schemes and
opportunities that offers job and internships. The youth is also supposed to join
and attend such courses or workshops that educate about entrepreneurship or
business so that they can work into it creating their own startups and building a
entrepreneurial mind set creating more incomes for themselves and further
providing jobs to others around them.
