Ambassador at Large for Global Peace & Human Rights Imam Allama Muhammad Ahsan Siddiqui, Chairman Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH) said that today, we join the international community in celebrating International Women’s Day. Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH)fully supports this year’s theme of International Women’s Day, In a guest of Honor talked with media with Consul General France, Consul General Japan, Consul General Thailand and Vietnam at 14th LADIESFUND Women’s Awards 2023 Pakistan organized by Tara Uzra Dawood Global Foundation at Sindh Governor House Karachi. The objective of celebrating the International Women’s Day is to break the bias, stereotypes and discrimination, and to celebrate a world that’s diverse, equitable and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. It is an occasion to celebrate the progress made in empowering women, and to reaffirm our collective resolve for redoubling efforts to further advance respect for women’s rights. He said ICPH celebrate the achievements and progress of women around the world and call on governments and activists to continue their efforts to make the digital world safer, more inclusive, and more equitable.






Ambassador Imam Allama Ahsan Siddiqui said that Violence against women is a significant issue in Pakistan, with domestic violence, honor killings, and rape all too common. The country has made some progress in passing laws to protect women’s rights, but implementation and enforcement of these laws remain weak.
He said that still a long way to go to reach gender equality women’s striving towards giving a fair share for women will make possible sustainable peace and development.
Islam has given much respect and freedom to women. Islam gave a comprehensive charter of rights and duties of women when there was no concept of women rights. Islam elevated status of women through economic security; gave a share in inheritance; protected rights as a wife, sister, and daughter; and checked exploitation, excesses, and torture.

We remain committed to creating an environment that fosters gender equality and empowers women to achieve their goals. ICPH strives to contribute to a world that’s diverse, equitable, & inclusive. We have made significant advancements in empowering women, economically and socially, including through progressive legislative, policy, institutional and administrative measures. Ensuring broad-based inclusion of women’s rights in every sphere and at all levels is one of the key priorities of our organization. At the international forum, Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH) Pakistan’s voice has always resonated in favors of women empowerment and gender equality.
