Fort Monroe: A grand reception was organized by Pakistan Hockey Federation President Sardar Tariq Bugti at Chieftain Hotel Fort Monroe in the honor of West Asian Baseball Cup Silver Medalist National Team of Pakistan, Pakistan Federation Baseball Secretary Syed Fakhar Ali Shah and other officials. The participating squad led by Syed Fakhar Ali Shah includes V.President Muhammad Jamil Kamran, Media Director Parwez Ahmed Sheikh, Media Coordinator Tahir Latif, International Umpires and Former Players Zubair Watto, Amir Imdad Bhatti, Director Sports Emerson University Multan Zafar Sherwani, Captain Afridi, Wasif Hussain Sherwani.
Welcoming the team at the Chieftain Hotel, Sardar Tariq Bugti congratulated Pakistan Federation Baseball Secretary Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, Captain Umair Imdad Bhatti, team officials on their brilliant victory against India in the semi-final. During welcome address he said that “I am very happy that the team has reached Fort Monroe from remote areas of Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab on our invitation”.
Fort Munro, Dera Ghazi Khan, is a spacious and relatively cold place 6470 feet above sea level in the Soleiman Mountain range, 85 KM south-west of Dera Ghazi Khan, and we will provide the best hospitality to our national heroes here and a grand dinner ceremony will be held with sightseeing and entertainment, more he said.
Syed Fakhar Ali Shah says that our players and officials are very happy to be here and we are grateful to Sardar Tariq Bugti for giving a grand welcome to the national heroes of baseball. He says that such events will not only promote baseball in Pakistan but will also highlight the importance of our internationally renowned players and coaches as national heroes in our own country.
