KARACHI – Chairman Abad Mohsin Sheikhani said that the problem of Nusla Tower is a problem of Karachi. Abad had called for a strike in the construction sector. Were we any terrorists? We were charged with sticks.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Chairman Abad Mohsin Sheikhani said that the Sindh government had assured that regularization would take place. Yesterday, the Sindh Assembly passed the bill but the resolution was not passed.

They say that buildings without maps are being built in the city, we can’t even protest, even today 700 buildings are being built, no one is asking, was the building built in one day, it was not the responsibility of the institutions, It is demanded that one window be set up to allow buildings.

Mohsin Sheikhani said that there are no two laws in a country, 5 years after the construction of the building comes the order to demolish the building, how will people invest after this situation, the commissioner and the police are saving their jobs. We are destroying the city, it takes 17 NOCs to build a building, the focus is more on demolition and less on compensation.

He said that an institution should be set up so that no one would bother after receiving NOC. 300 maps have been pending in Karachi for many years. He appealed to the Prime Minister, President, Army Chief and Bilawal Bhutto to solve the problems. Work will be stopped where documentation is not considered.

Chairman Abad Mohsin Sheikhani also said that many buildings are being constructed in Karachi without maps, work is not being allowed, how will investors come from abroad, Governor Sindh and Chief Minister Sindh do not care.

Addressing a press conference, FPCCI President Nasir Mugabe said that the government and those who had given 17 NOCs should be arrested in this case.

He said that FPCCI was not getting permission for building in Islamabad and the Association of Builders should also form a committee to hear the complaints of the people.

President Karachi Chamber said that NOCs are immediately available in other parts of the country. If I am in trouble, I should remember Karachi.

Idrees Memon said who is giving NOC of buildings in big projects outside Karachi, Chief Justice listen to us, we want to be involved in the case.
