KARACHI: In November 20th is Trans Day of Remembrance is an annual observance that honours the memory of the transgender people whose lives were taken due to anti-transgender violence. We want to take a moment to honour the memory of the Trans lives lost in acts of anti-transgender bigotry and violence.
Ambassador Global Peace & Human Rights Imam Ahsan Siddiqui said that we reflect on those we honour because of the violence transgender communities face on a daily basis. We stand in creating a fair, equitable society inclusive of all gender identities. Everyone deserves to live their lives free of cruelty, discrimination and harm. Today and every day, the Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony must stand in solidarity with Trans and gender diverse people for a safer world. a time to honor those who have faced discrimination & violence due to their gender identity.
Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony Chairman Imam Ahsan Siddiqui said that we must work together to end gender based violence. We stand with the transgender community, uplift and work to end anti-trans policies, and we’ll continue working to protect those facing bigotry simply for who they are and who they love. We’re proud to support the Tarangender community.
Imam Ahsan Siddiqui said that on this transgender day of Remembrance; let us vow to play our role in ending all the discrimination and violence that the Trans community has been enduring. Let’s assure them of our solidarity as they seek only the very basic human right of existing amidst us. Let us stand in solidarity and pay tribute to victims of transphobia we will never stop fighting for Tarangender rights.
