Karachi: Memon Medical Institute Hospital organized an awareness walk on World Heart Day on September 26, 2018, at the hospital. Mr. Ajaz Saya – Honorary Chairman of Memon Health & Education Foundation was tahe chief guest. The event was also attended by Deputy Chairman Dr. Ashraf Ebrahim, Brigadier Dr. Malik Waqar Ahmad Awan CEO MMI Hospital, Dr. Qamaruddin Baloch – Medical Director MMI Hospital, the hospital management, students of leading schools and colleges, senior health professionals and a large number of general public from all walks of life attended the walk.
Mr. Ajaz Saya said that the objective of the walk is to create awareness about the cardiac issues and the only prevention is the healthy life through a balanced diet and fitness. He also stressed that the healthy heart leads towards a healthy body, therefore it is compulsory for everyone to live a healthy life.
Brigadier Dr. Malik Waqar Ahmad Awan CEO MMI Hospital welcome the public and especially the students and said that “I am delighted to see a large number of students from leading schools and the colleges, he said that we organized this walk as the cardiac diseases are growing in the country and the causes are unhealthy lifestyles, junk food and not spending time on physical activities.
The event was also addressed by Dr. Khan Shah Zaman Director Cardiovascular Services MMI Hospital and Dr. Qamaruddin Baloch – Medical Director MMI Hospital.
The hospital was established in 2010 and it is a tertiary care donor-funded project. The mission is to provide accessible and affordable quality health care and health education to the common citizens. The hospital is providing quality healthcare services at very affordable prices.
