KARACHI, April 23, 2026: The United Nations Development Programme Pakistan in collaboration with Nutshell Group has initiated the first round of stakeholder consultations in Sindh, aimed at strengthening public-private partnerships and developing an investment-ready pipeline for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)-aligned projects.

The session was held in Karachi and hosted by the Planning and Development Board Sindh, bringing together representatives from key provincial departments and development agencies.
According to organisers, Nutshell Group is serving as Lead Consultant for the SDGs Investment and Financing Project, with Spectreco acting as Technical Partner. The initiative focuses on mobilising private sector participation in development projects through structured Public Private Partnership (PPP) frameworks.
The consultation session was chaired by Naghma-e-Tehniat Jerral, Head of Development Policy Unit at UNDP Pakistan, who highlighted the importance of creating a strong pipeline of bankable and investment-ready projects ahead of the upcoming SDGs Investment Fair.
Participants discussed sectoral priorities, project identification mechanisms, and financing models designed to align provincial development needs with sustainable investment opportunities.
Officials and stakeholders emphasized that effective collaboration between government institutions, development partners, and the private sector is essential to accelerating progress on SDG targets in Pakistan.
The initiative is expected to expand further across provinces in the coming months, strengthening coordination for sustainable development planning and investment facilitation.
