Muneer, President Zubair Tufail, Chairman Shahzad Ali Malik, Secretary General Zafar Bakhtawari, Former Presidents FPCCI, Central Mian Mohammad Idrees, Abdul Rauf Alam, Ghazanfer Bilour, Engr Daroo Khan, Central Leaders UBG Khalid Tawab, Mirza Ikhtair Baig, Hanif Gohar, Syed Mazhar Ali Nasir, Gulzar Feroze, Malik Khuda Bakhsh, Mian Arshad Farooq, Ahmed Chinoy, Tariq Haleem, Noor Ahmed Khan, Ms. Sameena Fazil, Malik Sohail Hussain, Shakeel Dhengra , Mumtaz Sheikh and others have congratulated Lt. Gen. Asim Munir on being appointed as Chief of Army Staff and Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza as Chairman of Joint Chief of staff committee. UBG leadership expressing their contentment views said that the elevation of both the army officers to these important posts has been done in a very auspicious manner.
UBG leaders said that Syed Asim Munir is the best choice for Army Chief who has the best professional career and headed important departments of ISI and Military Intelligence. The new army chief is a trusted figure in the Pakistan Army and the nation has high hopes from him. General Asim Munir is the first Army Chief who was awarded a sword for superior performance during training, while he set a new example by memorizing the Holy Quran as a colonel at the age of 38.
While commenting on the appointment of Lt. Gen. Sahir Shamshad Mirza as the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Army Staff and the UBG leadership said that Lt. Gen. Sahir Shamshad Mizra belonged to Sindh and he taken drastic action against terrorists in North Waziristan eliminating them bringing peace in Waziristan. Gen. Sahir Shamshad Mirza also played an important role in the intra-Afghan talks.
The UBG leadership further said that since the establishment of Pakistan, armed forces have played an important role in ensuring the country’s integrity and nation building foiling Indian ambitions and aggression to destabilize Pakistan. After the best decision by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, there is a strong hope that the political crisis will end in Pakistan and the country will move towards economic stability, which is facing the most difficult situation at the moment.
The UBG leadership also acknowledged the outstanding services of outgoing chief of army staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and paid him rich tributes. They said that the country has been removed from the gray list of terrorism, FATF through the great efforts of General Qamar Javed Bajawa.
