Speaking to reporters, Trump indicated that he may visit Islamabad if a deal is successfully reached, praising Pakistan’s role in facilitating talks between Washington and Tehran.
“Pakistan has been so great. I might go if the deal is done in Islamabad,” he said, commending Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir for their contributions to the mediation process.
The remarks come amid continued diplomatic engagement, with Pakistan playing a central role as an intermediary in efforts to bridge differences between the United States and Iran.
Officials have expressed cautious optimism that ongoing discussions could lead to a breakthrough, though key issues — particularly related to Iran’s nuclear programme — remain unresolved.
The potential resumption of talks reflects sustained international efforts to de-escalate tensions and reach a negotiated settlement in the region.
