HELSINKI : Finland is ranked first in the list of the happiest countries in the world, and one of the big secrets is their love for coffee. Finland is the world’s largest consumer of coffee, where an average person drinks 12 kilograms of coffee per year. If an employee works for six hours, it is the employer’s legal obligation to give him two 15-minute breaks. This tradition is a sign that human well-being and mental freshness are given priority over workload there. Apart from coffee, there is also a special philosophy there, which is called sisu in Finnish. This spirit teaches them how to face situations with determination instead of giving up when they are out of control. The inhabitants there consider oxygen jumping, that is, brisk walking in the fresh air, an essential part of their life.
