Karachi: The role of women is important in the establishment of Pakistan. Freedom always comes from sacrifices, and we should not forget the struggle for the freedom of Kashmir. The role of women in the country’s development cannot be forgotten, women are active in the economic field. Charter President, Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus & PAG Kausar Aslam said this during the Board of Director Meeting of Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus and celebrated the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan held at their residence.
Assistant Governor RI Districts 3271 Zone 4 & PP Kausar Aslam received the Highest Zone Participation Awards from District Governor Rotary International District 3271 Dr Aftab Imam, Rotary International President’s Representative PDG M. Iqbal Qureshi, and Mrs Valerie K. Wafer, Vice President, Rotary International at Rotary International District 3271 DISCON – Change-Con 2022 Event.
Which was attended by the board of directors including; Acting President Syed Turab Shah, IPP Muhammad Ali Haider, SVP Comdr. (R) Akbar Naqi, Founder & Secretary Aslam Khaliq, Elected President Nominee 2023-24 Dr. Khalid Hussain Sheikh, President Nominee 2024-25 Junaid Hamid, Treasurer Javed Zaidi, Chaudhry Ansar Javed, Shoaib Arif, Sardar Humayun Rizwani, and Syeda Sara Zafar Ali.
In this meeting, they decided to give the responsibility of Acting President to Vice President Syed Turab Shah, after the resignation of RCK Nexus President Zubair Baweja. On this occasion, Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus members celebrated the birthday of Chaudhry Ansar Javed and cut the birthday cake.
Addressing the meeting, Kausar Aslam said that the Pakistan Movement was successful as a result of the struggle and tireless work of Fatima Jinnah (Mader-e Millat), Begum Ra’ana Liaquat Ali Khan and Maulana Muhammad Ali Jauhar, and Maulana Shaukat Ali mother Abadi Bano Begum aka Bi Amma and other womens.
Kausar Aslam said that Muslim women were stand up with the men for the establishment of Pakistan. They very actively and participated in political meetings, rallies and raised slogans like; ‘Banana Kar Rahega Pakistan Buttkay Rahega Hindustan.’
She added women have offered millions of sacrifices of their innocent children and youth for Pakistan, thanks to which we are blessed with freedom. More than 230 million Pakistani people are ready to make all kinds of sacrifices for this freedom. Further, she said we have the best-armed forces in the world which are sacrificing their lives for our beloved country. We salute our armed forces for the establishment of peace and Law order in the country, in which we live peacefully. Our armed forces are playing an important role in the establishment of peace not only in Pakistan but also worldwide, whose sacrifices will always be remembered.
