The 28th International Mushaira will be held Tomorrow traditionally in Karachi, Farhan-ur-Rehman.

KARACHI – A grand international fair, AlamiMushaira organized by Sakinan-e-Shaher-e-Quaid since 1988, will be held in the traditional cultural style today at the Expo Center Karachi. Famous poets from all over the world will present their words like every year in Pakistan’s biggest poetry festival. These views were expressed by Farhan-ur-Rehman, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Sakinan-e-Shaher-e-Quaid. He said that the AlamiMushaira is the biggest festival for those related to Urdu literature in the world, in which not only well-known poets from all over the world present their words, but famous writers from the four provinces of Pakistan also participate. He said that public entry is free in this exhibition which is held at Expo Center Karachi from 9 pm till morning. Farhan-ur-Rehman further said that this mushaira is extremely popular among the people, which is why more than 15 thousand people make sure to participate in it with their families every year. He said that this mushaira has the patronage of prominent personalities related to Urdu literature who consider it the biggest event of the year.

The Chairman of the Organizing Committee said that well-known poets from America, UK, Canada, Germany, United Arab Emirates and especially India are participating in today’s mushaira. He said that this mushaira of the Sakinan-e-Shaher-e-Quaid was started in 1988, but due to some unavoidable reasons and Corona, it could not be held for a few years. This year, Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori will be the chief guest while the organizers will be Dr. PirzadaQasim, Mahmood Ahmed Khan, RafiqPardesi, ZubairTufail, Khalid Tawab, HanifGohar, SM Tanveer, Faraz-ur-Rehman, ZubairChhaya, Zahid Saeed, GulzarFiroz, NighatAwan, Rashid Siddiqui, FarrukhMazhar and other dignitaries will welcome the people.

On this occasion, ZubairTufail, SM Tanveer, Khalid Tawab, HanifGohar, GulzarFeroze, Zahid Saeed and FarrukhMazhar congratulated the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Farhan-ur-Rehman, saying that he is serving Urdu literature and art and culture with being the former chairman of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry and a well-known businessman. KATI President Faraz-ur-Rehman said on this occasion that the promotion of cultural and literary activities along with business activities is inevitable. Such activities leave a positive impression. He said that the residents of the city of Quaid are doing a great service to the literature with the great mushaira, which is commendable. ZubairChhaya said that one gets to listen to the spoken words of favorite poets in the mushaira. He said that the AlamiMushaira is popular among people of all ages which is the basis of its success. Rashid Siddiqui said that this mushaira is looked forward to every year as it provides an opportunity to meet and listen to poets from all over the world.

NighatAwan said that the International Mushaira has become a hallmark of Pakistan in which poets who are interested in Urdu literature consider it an honor to participate.
