Talks With Taliban In Final Stage: Trump
WASHINGTON: President Trump said Thursday the U.S. is close to signing a deal with the Taliban to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan, and that the outcome of negotiations would be clear in the next two weeks.
It was the first time Mr. Trump has acknowledged the U.S. was close to an accord with the Taliban since talks fell apart last September when both sides were on the cusp of a deal
