Karachi: In the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area, the secretary of Sindh Bar Council, who was leaving school for a daughter, was shot dead in a car.
According to the lawyers, the incident was the result of a targeted killing. Prominent lawyer Naeem Qureshi and a large number of other lawyers rushed to the spot.
According to Advocate Naeem Qureshi, Irfan Mehr, 45, was a resident of Gulistan-e-Jauhar. Attacked and targeted by a known person. When he reached Gulistan-e-Johar Block 13 this morning to drop off his daughter in a car, on his way back, two accused on a motorbike attacked him with car number BJB-824.
According to Naeem Qureshi, Irfan Mehr was not a lawyer but worked as secretary of Sindh Bar Council.
According to police, the accused fired several shots at Irfan and fled. According to eyewitnesses, both the accused were wearing paint. Irfan Mehr was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.
According to police, CCTV footage of the incident has been obtained and they are examining the incident from different angles.
