Sheikh Rashid’s nephew Sheikh Rashid arrested from Islamabad Airport
Former Federal Minister Sheikh Rashid’s nephew Sheikh Rashid was arrested at Islamabad Airport on his return from Saudi Arabia.
According to reports, Sheikh Rashid Shafiq arrived in Islamabad on a private airline flight.
Earlier, a case was registered against 150 people including Imran Khan in Faisalabad against the tragic incident that took place in Masjid-e-Nabawi.
Former federal ministers Fawad Chaudhry, Shahbaz Gul, Sheikh Rashid, Qasim Suri, Rashid Shafiq and Anil Mussarat were also named in the case.
There are four sections in the lawsuit, including the blasphemy section, which carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
Police say legal action will be taken. The FIR states that Pakistani pilgrims were forcibly stopped from chanting the slogan of Islam in Masjid-e-Nabawi.
According to the text of the FIR, the whole incident took place under a conspiracy.
