Karachi Pakistan – Senior Advisor, Regional Incharge Wafaqi Mohtasib Syed Anwar Haider asked the aggrieved parties to discuss their issues openly so that it can be resolved by contacting relevant regulatory bodies. One party mentioned the problem of sub-contracting of parking by KMC, DMC and cantonment and then these are sub-contracted further which leads to significant increase in parking ticket values which leads to huge distress for public. This is later followed by addition of “patharas” which has further choked the roads.
Secondly, another party complained of a building being constructed at MA Jinnah road where all the construction material is being laid on the main road blocking the main road followed with heavy traffic congestion.
One party complained of provision of clean water and proper sewage system for Karachi. Syed Anwar Haider mentioned that water board is now under direct control of Mayor Karachi and once it is finalized then he will approach them. He mentioned the only way sewage problem can be addressed is that the whole sewage system is revamped catering to increasing development and population of Karachi city.
At the conclusion of meeting, the Senior Advisor assured the aggrieved parties that Wafaqi Mohtasib will play its part in lessening their grievances.
