Khyber: In a major operation in Khyber district, security forces have successfully neutralized 25 terrorists, including a high-profile leader, since August 20, 2024. The raids, targeting the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and its affiliates, Fitna al Khawarij, have also left eleven terrorists injured.
The operations have delivered a heavy blow to Fitna al Khawarij, with the death of their leader, Abuzar alias Saddam, marking a significant victory. Tragically, the efforts resulted in the loss of four brave soldiers. President Asif Ali Zardari praised the security forces for their courage and emphasized the government’s dedication to eradicating terrorism.
This operation comes amid a rising tide of terror attacks, following the TTP’s end of a ceasefire in 2022. Recent violence has affected regions including Kurram, Mastung, and Bajaur. The government is committed to countering terrorism and restoring peace across the nation.
