Vice-Chancellor Arabella Bhutto addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of remembering national milestones and honoring the sacrifices made for the country’s defense. She stated that such events serve as a reminder of the courage and determination of both the nation and its armed forces. She further emphasized that universities and the general public play a crucial role in promoting awareness of national history and fostering patriotism among youth.
Encouraging students to contribute positively, she urged them to focus on knowledge, creativity, and dedication for the progress and stability of Pakistan.
A panel discussion formed a key part of the seminar, featuring Shoukat Khokhar, Shazia Abro, Sanam Bhutto, and Fazal Ellahi Khan. The speakers collectively underscored the role of art, design, and academia in preserving national narratives and strengthening identity and unity.
They noted that creative disciplines can effectively portray themes of patriotism, sacrifice, and resilience, helping younger generations connect with the country’s history. The discussion also touched upon Pakistan’s global image, its role in promoting peace, and the contribution of media in shaping public perception. The session was moderated by Latif Gaad, who facilitated an engaging dialogue.
The event also included a documentary screening showcasing Pakistan’s military achievements, while students added an emotional dimension by presenting patriotic poetry.
