SABS UNIVERSITY HOLDS SYNDICATE, SENATE, AND ACADEMIC COUNCIL ELECTIONS

Jamshoro (January 06, 2026): Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro (SABS) University of Art, Design and
Heritages (SABS University) conducted elections for faculty representatives to its statutory bodies,
including the Syndicate, Senate, and Academic Council.
In the elections, Muhammad Salim Jhatial was elected unopposed to the Syndicate on the seat of
Associate Professor. For the Academic Council, Zubair Ahmed Bhutto was elected unopposed on the
seat of Assistant Professor, while Rabia Khaskheli secured the seat of Lecturer, also unopposed.
The election for the Senate seat witnessed a contest in which Fahad Shams Nizamani emerged
victorious after competing against Jam Depar.
All newly elected members will serve a three-year term in their respective statutory bodies,
contributing to academic governance, policy-making, and the overall development of the university.
