Karachi: The Chairman of RK Sports Management, Atif Iqbal, and Founder & President, Rais Khan, have extended their heartfelt congratulations to Arshad Nadeem for securing the gold medal in the javelin throw competition at the Paris 2024 Olympics. They praised his remarkable achievement, highlighting how Arshad has made the country and nation proud with his victory.
Atif Iqbal emphasized the abundant talent present across various sports in the country, while lamenting the insufficient training provided at the grassroots level. He noted that the lack of access to international sports competitions, coupled with minimal government support, hampers the development of aspiring athletes. Despite these challenges, Arshad Nadeem achieved gold through sheer determination and hard work, without any government patronage.
Rais Khan criticized the government’s sports policy, describing it as a failure for not allowing athletes to fully engage in their respective sports fields. He stressed the importance of providing players with opportunities, training, and international exposure to nurture their talents. He believes that with the right support, many more athletes could achieve gold medals in various competitions, similar to Arshad’s success in javelin throw.
