KARACHI – M. Ilyas Mundia, Chairman Group of Industries hosted a dinner reception on the eve of Pakistan Day– on this day in 1940 a resolution was passed at Lahore Minae e Pakistan to get a separate country for the Muslims of the sub-continent which materialized in 1947.

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Abdul Basit Mundia, former president of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Siraj Kassam Teli spoke on the historic importance of Pakistan resolution passed in 1940. They said it was the resolution which proved the foundation stone for new Muslim country Pakistan coming into existence on 14th August 1947.
On this occasion, Senior Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Mr.Wahab defended Pakistan Peoples Party’s government in Sindh.
They assured that despite limited resources Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and his team was making their best efforts for the development and prosperity of the province including Karachi and the country.
They claimed that PPP was sincerely and seriously pursuing its manifesto and promises made to the people of Sindh.
